On the morning of April 28, 2025, a solemn assembly was held to pay homage to the late Pope Francis, commemorating his life of service, humility, and unwavering faith. The programme was attended by students of Classes V to VII, along with the Principal, Vice-Principal, Sr. Maria, teachers, and other students.
The ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp—symbolizing the light of truth and wisdom—led by the Principal, Vice-Principal, Sr. Maria, teachers, and the class monitors and vice-monitors of Classes V to VII. This was followed by a floral tribute, reverently laid in front of a portrait of Pope Francis.
A spiritual atmosphere was set with a scripture reading from the Bible, delivered by Patrick of Class XII. This was followed by a heartfelt prayer led by Sr. Maria G. D., invoking peace and grace in remembrance of Pope Francis’s noble soul.
The Principal, Fr. Surjit Tigga, then addressed the assembly, highlighting the extraordinary legacy of Pope Francis. He spoke about the Pope’s dedication to social justice, compassion for the marginalized, and commitment to peace across the globe. His words served as an inspiration for all present, encouraging the young minds to walk the path of kindness and service.
The assembly concluded with the National Anthem.
