The Don Bosco Educational Network in the Shillong Province stands as a beacon of quality education, holistic formation, and unwavering commitment to the mission of St. John Bosco. Spread across the seven regions of Mizoram, Tripura, Barak Valley, Jaintia Hills, East Khasi Hills, West Khasi Hills, and Ri-Bhoi, the province currently runs Thirty Four highly reputed schools, of which four are affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). These institutions are widely recognized for their discipline, academic excellence, and value-based education, and are among the most sought-after schools in their respective regions.

The Shillong Province is administered from its headquarters in Shillong and is led by a dedicated team of eight Salesians. At the helm is Rev. Fr. John Zosiama, who is serving as the third Provincial of the province. Supporting him in this mission are:

The leadership team provides visionary direction, pastoral guidance, and administrative coordination across the entire educational network, ensuring that each institution upholds the spirit and values of Don Bosco. As of the current academic year, the Don Bosco schools across the Shillong Province serve a total of 38,571 students. This includes: 21,315 boys and 17,256 girls.

This marks a slight increase in the total number of students compared to the previous year — a clear indication of the growing trust that parents and communities place in Don Bosco institutions. A total of 1,395 dedicated teachers are employed across these 34 schools. These educators tirelessly contribute to the academic growth and personal development of each student, working in alignment with the Salesian educational philosophy that emphasizes reason, religion, and loving-kindness.

The academic year has been particularly fruitful, with excellent results in Class X and Class XII board examinations under various boards including CBSE, TBSE (Tripura), MBOSE (Meghalaya), and MBSE (Mizoram). Don Bosco students have consistently achieved outstanding results, securing top positions and distinctions that reflect the rigorous academic environment and personalized attention provided in the schools.

The Education Commission, under the dynamic leadership of Fr. Babu Stephen, has played a pivotal role in uplifting the overall standard of education in the province. The commission has focused on:
