Don Bosco School, Silchar opened officially on January 31, 2006 is a co-educational English medium minority Christian Educational institution owned and run by the Salesians of Don Bosco. The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi ( Affiliation No. 230103). The Institution though established for the education of the Christian minority community, is open to all, irrespective of religion, caste, or community.

The school will prepare the health profile of every child enrolled in the school with the help of the local health centres and the community to study the issues related to obesity in the children and take effective measures to curb the problem by engaging them in regular array of outdoor physical activities, games and sports through the additional facilities created in the school campus by 2025.
