DON BOSCO SCHOOL SMIT PAYS HOMAGE TO (L) POPE FRANCIS
A solemn and heartfelt homage was paid to the departed soul of His Holiness Pope Francis at Don Bosco Smit School today. The ceremony was organized in the school premises in the presence of the entire school community.
The program was initiated by the Principal, Bro. Albert Longley, who welcomed all the students and staff. He expressed deep sorrow at the passing away of Pope Francis on 21st April 2025, and highlighted the Pope's life of service, compassion, and dedication to humanity and the Church.
The entire school observed moments of silence, offered prayers, and listened to speeches honoring the life and legacy of Pope Francis. The atmosphere was deeply prayerful and reflective, as everyone united in spirit to pay their respects.
Students and staff members also came forward to offer floral tributes as a mark of their love and reverence. The ceremony was a moving tribute to a great spiritual leader, and it reflected the deep sense of loss felt by the global Catholic community.
The school continues to pray for the peaceful repose of the soul of Pope Francis, whose teachings and example will remain a guiding light for generations to come.
