Don Bosco School, Herma held a colorful inauguration of the academic year 2025-26 on 10.04.2025 in the gracious presence of Br. Wanpher Lyngdoh as the Chief Guest of the ceremony. The program commenced with cheering lined up students in two rows from entrance of the school gate to the assembly point, welcoming the Chief Guest, the Principal and all the 46 new students enrolled to our school this year. The Chief Guest was welcomed by offering of traditional Risa. That was followed by the offering of a rose to the new bunch of faces by their respective class teacher. As the hosts took charge of the felicitation program they invited Fr. Suman Kumar Kiro sdb (Principal) to deliver welcome speech in which the Principal encouraged everyone to begin new year in new classroom with fresh beginning and keeping higher goals to achieve.
The students performed dances and filled the atmosphere with melodious songs on this occasion. The Chief Guest in his message stressed on the purpose and importance of student life in the school campus and encouraged them to participate in everything that school organizes for them. This school would be a platform for them to evolve themselves in various prospects of life.
Fr. Principal later highlighted the theme of year “Make Mistakes”. He encouraged students to understand and have right perspective of making mistake in learning. Making mistake is the first step to reach success and this idea eased students that making mistakes would be encouraging them to move towards new ventures this year. An hour program concluded with distribution of sweets for all.
