The Annual Sports Meet of Sacred Heart Boys’ Higher Secondary School, Mawlai, was held with great enthusiasm and grandeur from 2nd to 4th April 2025 at the school premises. The event brought together students, staff, and guests in a celebration of athleticism and team spirit.

The occasion was graced by Fr. Telesphor Nonglang SDB, the Parish Priest cum Rector of Mawlai Parish, as the Chief Guest, and Fr. Sunil Barla, Rector of Sacred Heart Theological College (SHTC), as the Guest of Honour. Fr. Thiewbor SDB, the Principal of the school, extended a warm and cordial welcome to all the dignitaries and thanked everyone for their graceful presence and continued support.

The Sports Meet commenced with the arrival of the dignitaries, followed by a warm welcome. The highlight of the inaugural ceremony was the inter-house march-past by both boys' and girls' contingents, showcasing discipline and coordination. The lighting of the Olympic torch added to the spirit of the day, symbolizing the beginning of the sporting events.

An impressive drill display by the boys and girls captivated the audience and set a lively tone for the day. The flag hoisting ceremony by the Chief Guest officially marked the opening of the Sports Meet. Fr. Patrick K, Dean of Studies at Savio Juniorate, was also present to witness the event.

The rest of the day witnessed a variety of events, including track and field competitions, jumps, and team games. Students participated actively and sportingly, making the event a true celebration of sportsmanship and unity. The competitions were conducted smoothly and professionally by a dedicated team of teachers.

The winners of various events were awarded medals and certificates in recognition of their achievements. The Annual Sports Meet 2025 concluded on a high note, leaving behind cherished memories and a strong sense of camaraderie among all.
