St. John Bosco Higher Secondary School, Nongkroh - Rambrai, organised a School marathon on 22nd February 2025, which kicked off at 6:00 am from the school playground, marking the beginning of an exciting 21st annual school sports scheduled to unfold from February 26 to 28, 2025. An impressive 228 students gathered at the starting line, eager to showcase their unwavering enthusiasm and sportsmanship.

Sir George Syiem, Academic Coordinator, expertly guided the participants before the marathon. Teachers were strategically stationed at four checkpoints, distributing tickets to the eager runners. Students from different houses competed in five age categories: under 10, 12, 14, 16, and 18.

The marathon saw exceptional performances across all age categories. The under-10 boys' category saw three outstanding athletes take the top spots, with the winner completing the course in an impressive time. In the under-10 girls' category, the top three finishers demonstrated exceptional endurance and speed. The under-12, 14, 16, and 18 boys' and girls' categories witnessed fierce competition, with the winners showcasing their emerging athletic talents, growing skills, and stamina.

Sr. Marylang Suchiang, Headmistress, announced the winners, and the prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of the sports events. As a fitting finale, all participants were treated to a refreshing spread of light refreshments, providing a well-deserved break after their impressive display of endurance and teamwork.

The event was a resounding success, and the school eagerly looks forward to the upcoming sports events. With this triumphant start, the 21st annual school sports promise to be an unforgettable celebration of athleticism, teamwork, and school spirit.
