Secondary, Nongkroh – Rambrai, witnessed the Investiture Ceremony on 18th
February 2025, a momentous occasion marking the induction of new student
leaders. The staff and students were grateful to have Smt. E.B Laskar, DSEO
West Khasi Hills District, as the Chief Guest of this great event. The ceremony commenced
with words of welcome and felicitation by Sr. Marylang Suchiang FMA,
Headmistress. Followed by a prayer moment guided by Ms. Gracefulnity
Syiemingbah. The lighting of the lamp, a symbolic gesture of igniting
leadership qualities, was performed by the dignitaries present: Smt. E.B
Laskar, Chief Guest, Fr. Gilbert Gel Bhoi, Principal, Sr. Marylang Suchiang
FMA, Headmistress, Shri. Ernest Lyngkhoi, Headman of Nongkroh, Shri. Cherubim
Thongni the School Managing Committee member, Shri. George Syiem, the academic
coordinator and Shri. Goljinal Kharbani Parent's representative, Joplang Dkhar
the School Captain student’s representative. Class XII students then mesmerized
the audience with their soulful rendition of "You Make Everything
Beautiful". The pledge-taking
ceremony officially inducted the new student leaders, who vowed to uphold the
school's values and serve their peers with dedication and integrity. Smt. E.B
Laskar, Chief Guest, presented the sashes and badges to the School Captain and
Vice-Captain, House Captains and Vice-Captains, and Scouts and Guides leaders.
Fr. Gilbert Gel Bhoi, Principal, presented badges to the Class Captains and
Vice-Captains, while Sr. Pherdalin Thongni FMA presented badges to the Clubs'
Captains and Vice-Captains. Fr. Gilbert Gel Bhoi,
Principal, delivered a motivational message emphasizing leadership, teamwork,
and responsibility. Class X students then sang "Thang ïa ka sharak"
showcasing their talent and enthusiasm. Smt. E.B Laskar, Chief
Guest, expressed her gratitude for being part of the ceremony and emphasized
the essential qualities of a leader - patience and kindness, encouraging the
newly inducted student leaders to embody these traits. Then followed the vote of
thanks given by Mrs. Memorial Syiemsad. The ceremony concluded with the School
Anthem, filling the hearts of all present with school spirit and pride.
