MARATHON RACE AT DBS PITRA
On January 17, Don Bosco School, Pitra, hosted its first-ever marathon, an event that turned out to be a remarkable milestone for the institution. The 4-kilometer race, designed to promote fitness and saw enthusiastic participation from all the students of the school.
The day began with an energetic opening ceremony, where Sr. Teresa A Sangma, the Headmistress, teachers, and staff encouraged the young runners. The route was meticulously planned to ensure safety, with volunteers teachers stationed at every corner to guide and cheer on the participants.
The marathon kicked off at 7:00 AM, with students running through the scenic streets of Pitra. The event was a true celebration of determination and sportsmanship, as every student, regardless of their pace, completed the race successfully. It was inspiring to witness the perseverance and team spirit displayed by the participants.
The Headmistress, Sr. Teresa A. Sangma, expressed immense pride in the students, highlighting how such events contribute to physical and mental well-being while fostering a sense of unity.
