DBS LAWNGTLAI SHINES AT KALA UTSAV
The Kala Utsav program, organized by Samagra Shiksha, was held on 22nd August 2025, and Don Bosco School Lawngtlai actively participated in various competitions. The event showcased the rich cultural heritage of Mizoram, with prominent schools from Lawngtlai district taking part.
Don Bosco School, Lawngtlai bagged the first prize for their cultural group dance performance*, which beautifully integrated various traditional dances of Mizoram. The students highlighted the Mizo and Lai culture through different art forms, including group dance, folk song, orchestra, and painting.
Kala Utsav is an initiative by the Ministry of Human Resource Development to promote arts in education and showcase the artistic talent of school students. The program encourages students to explore and understand different art forms, fostering creativity and cultural awareness.
