ANNUAL SCHOOL PRINCIPAL'S MEET 2025
The Annual Three-Day Principals’ Meeting of Don Bosco Schools in Shillong Province was held from 7th to 9th August 2025 at the Don Bosco Provincial House, Shillong. Coordinated by Fr. Babu Stephen, Delegate for Education and Culture, the gathering brought together 35 principals from Meghalaya, Tripura, Mizoram, and the Barak Valley, along with the Provincial and his Council.
The meeting opened on the evening of 7th August with a simple yet meaningful inaugural ceremony. Fr. John Zosiama SDB, the Provincial, warmly welcomed the participants, acknowledging their hard work and commitment. Fr. Babu Stephen invoked God’s blessings for the success of the gathering.
The first session, led by Fr. Babu, presented comprehensive school statistics covering student enrolment, teaching, and non-teaching staff across the province’s 35 institutions. The second session, led by Fr. John Zosiama, offered valuable insights from GC 29.
On the second and third days, the Holy Eucharist was celebrated by Fr. John and Fr. Silvio Roggia SDB, General Councillor for Formation. Principals shared best practices and strategies, fostering mutual learning. Fr. Babu also presented the 2025 Board Examination results for Classes X and XII, commending the schools for their strong performance.

Discussions also covered preparations for the NECDBS Conference to be hosted in Shillong from 5th–8th November 2025. The exchange of ideas, experiences, and challenges over the three days greatly enriched the participants, fostering collaboration and a shared sense of mission.
The meeting concluded on the afternoon of 9th August with a concluding message from Fr. Jeevan Lakra SDB, Vice-Provincial, and a vote of thanks by Fr. Sawlus Kharpran SDB. The active participation and fraternal spirit of the principals ensured the success of this significant annual event.
