Don Bosco School, Pitra observed the International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples with a special assembly. Students arrived in their beautiful and vibrant traditional attires, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of their respective tribes.
The highlight of the program was the address by Sr. Theresa Sangma, who, in her inspiring message, invited the students to celebrate our differences, reminding them that Tripura is blessed with diverse tribes, customs, and languages. She urged the young learners to become channels of unity in society, promoting respect and understanding among all communities.
Sr. Theresa also explained the historical background and purpose of this significant day, helping students understand its importance in recognizing and preserving indigenous cultures worldwide.
The event concluded with a renewed sense of pride and responsibility among students to uphold the values of unity in diversity
