The Annual School Exhibition at Don Bosco School, Silchar, held on the 5th and 6th of August, was a resounding success. Over 800 enthusiastic students from classes 5 to 12 presented their innovative projects and contributions across various disciplines, including Science, Environmental Science, Social Science, Culture, Art, and Craft. This year’s exhibition featured a wide array of topics and the event was a testament to the hard work and dedication of both students and the Faculty.

The Exhibition commenced with a solemn inaugural program that set an inspiring tone for the event. The Chief Guest and Judges were warmly felicitated, reflecting our appreciation for their support and guidance. Following this, a Keynote a keynote Address was delivered, emphasizing the importance of holistic education and encouraging students to explore their passions and interests. The Inaugural ceremony culminated in a symbolic ribbon-cutting, marking the official opening of the exhibition. This was followed by live presentations showcasing the cultural monuments and the diverse tribes inhabiting the Barak Valley through cultural dance according to the tribes, highlighting the rich heritage and traditions of our region.

After the inauguration, attendees were invited to explore various galleries presenting the students ‘work across multiple disciplines. In Art and Craft, students exhibit ranged from painting to sculptures to innovative crafts, showcasing their artistic talents. In Science and Environmental Science, the students engaged in projects and model addressing contemporary scientific innovations and experiments, environmental issues, demonstrating students’ understanding of these critical fields. In Social Science, students display a research on historical events, geography, and cultural studies, reflecting students, engagement with societal issues and world affairs. A special segment dedicated to Yoga and Martial Arts, highlighting the importance of physical and mental well-being, with live demonstrations by the students. In Food and culture, students Presented and array of traditional dishes from various groups and tribes across different states of our country. In Sports, students exhibit the importance of physical education and teamwork. In Language Exhibition, the students highlighted the beauty of languages such as Bengali Hindi, Manipuri, and English through poems, speeches, and storytelling. The students also showcased a presentation from the recent visit to Andaman and Nicobar Island through Power Point Presentation and Interaction on the different Historical places that they had visited. 

Schools from all over the Barak Valley region were invited, along with parents and other special guests. The exhibition received enthusiastic responses, with many attendees expressing admiration for the hard work exhibited by students and teachers, Parents and guests praised the creativity, organization, and educational value of the exhibition, citing it as an enriching experience. Congratulations to all the staff and students for the exceptional efforts in making this event a success.
