The Investiture Ceremony of Don Bosco School, Silchar, for the academic session 2025–26 was held with dignity and solemnity during the morning assembly on July 25, 2025. The program marked an important occasion of formally vesting responsibilities on the newly elected student leaders.
The ceremony began with a soulful prayer led by Sr. Jyothi, invoking God's blessings upon the newly appointed leaders. Students then read passages from the sacred scriptures of the three major religions, symbolizing the school's spirit of unity in diversity and respect for all faiths.
Adding a touch of grace and cultural richness, the students of Class VIII presented a beautiful classical dance, which was received with much appreciation by all present.
The highlight of the event was the formal investiture of the student leaders. The School Leaders and Assistant School Leaders were presented with their badges by the principal, who also handed over to them the School Flag — a symbol of honour, trust, and responsibility. The House Captains and Vice-Captains were honoured with badges by the Vice-Principal and Sr. Jyothi. They too received their respective House Flags during the ceremony.
Following this, the newly appointed leaders took a solemn pledge to uphold the values of the school and perform their duties with commitment and integrity.
The Principal, in his address, motivated the leaders to discharge their duties to the best of their abilities. He also urged the rest of the student body to extend their full support and cooperation to the student council, so that the functioning of the school may progress smoothly and harmoniously.
The program concluded on a harmonious note with the singing of the School Anthem, echoing the spirit of unity, responsibility, and pride.
The Investiture Ceremony was indeed a meaningful and inspiring event that instilled a sense of leadership and responsibility among the students.
