FAREWELL CUM WELCOME AT DBS THENZAWL
On 23rd July 2025, during the morning assembly and in the midst of the First Terminal Examination, the school bid farewell to Sr. Genevieve (UFS) and welcomed Sr. Lilly (UFS).
The programme began with a warm address by Fr. Vice Principal Mark Thanglamtuanga, followed by the presentation of a bouquet and gift to both Sisters. A Thanksgiving song was sung by the choir, followed by a farewell speech read by a Class 2 student. Sr. Genevieve , in her final message, thanked the Principal, staff, and students, expressing special love for the Primary Section, where she served as a mother teacher.
She and Sr. Lilly then sang a duet as a gesture of gratitude and new beginnings. Students then proceeded to their exam rooms.
At 12:30 PM, a short staff gathering was held in the Principal’s Office. Fr. Principal Alistair Marwein thanked Sr. Genevieve for her year of service, welcomed Sr. Lilly, and he reminded the staff to be sincere in their work and to have respect for one another. Light refreshments were served.
The school feels both the sadness of Sr.Genevieve's departure and joy in welcoming Sr. Lilly.
