On 2nd May, Don Bosco Pitra celebrated its Investiture Ceremony and the inauguration of the academic year 2025-26, marking a significant milestone for the school community. The event was attended by students, faculty, and parents, all eager to witness the formal induction of new leaders within the school.
The ceremony commenced with the solemn lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the start of the new scholastic year. This traditional act set a reflective tone as students, staff, and guests gathered to honor the values of leadership and collaboration.
Class captains, vice captains, house captains, and vice captains took their oaths, pledging to uphold the responsibilities of their roles. Each leader was presented with a badge, representing their commitment to serve their peers and the school community.
Fr. Sunny addressed the students, emphasizing the importance of learning and living values. He encouraged the new leaders to be helpful to others and to foster a spirit of collaboration and teamwork. His message resonated with the audience, highlighting the essence of true leadership.
Sr. Theresa Sangma also shared her insights, urging the leaders to understand that being a leader means accompanying and guiding others, rather than manipulating or bullying. Her words served as a reminder of the moral responsibilities that come with leadership roles.
The atmosphere was lively, filled with songs and dances that added joy to the occasion. As part of the ceremony, class teachers received student registers, and class captains were given their official Captains' book—a symbol of their new responsibilities.
SPL Pradeep Jamatia expressed heartfelt gratitude to all participants, acknowledging the support of parents and teachers in nurturing future leaders. The event concluded with refreshments served to all attendees, fostering community spirit and celebration.
As Don Bosco Pitra embarks on another academic year, the commitment to values, leadership, and collaboration remains at the forefront, promising a bright future for all students.
